Grandpa Terry (Shane's stepdad) passed away and his funeral was August 7, 2014.
Born Aug. 12, 1941, in Enid, Oklahoma, to James and Lucille Boorsma. 
Returned to our Heavenly Father and joined his wife Maureen (Cydi) Boorsma Aug. 3, 2014. He enjoyed a wonderful life here on earth, where he had a strong testimony of the gospel and filled a calling working with his wife in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Terry served in the United States Navy, worked as a butcher and a locksmith, and retired from the Murray School District. Terry enjoyed fishing and camping, he spent many hours enjoying his passion as a talented carpenter. Terry accomplished much in his lifetime and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Terry is survived by his children: Shawn Headrick, Cyndi Tadahara (Curtis), Wendi Olson (Mick), Krysti Kollman (LeRoy), Kurt Johansson; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Maureen (Cydi) Boorsma, son Shane Johansson, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at the Tooele 3rd Ward, 141 W. Utah Ave. Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., services start 11 a.m. The family would like to thank all those at Rocky Mountain Care Center for their kind and loving care.

On February 25, 2009 Maureen Cydi Boorsma returned home to our Heavenly Father after a wonderful life experience here on earth. Born October 28, 1938 in Salt LakeCity, Utah. Daughter to Stanley and NaDine Nielson. Married Terry Boorsma Nov 6, 1976. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Dec 1, 1983. For 13 years she lovingly served numerous callings through the LDS Temple, as well as callings in the LDS Church. She had a strong testimony for the gospel. She had a passion for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hobbies included; gardening, quilting, sewing, fly fishing, camping and helping others. Preceded in death by Stanley and NaDine Nielson, son, Shane Johansson, grandson, Tyler Johansson and great-granddaughter, Elleanna Homee. Survived by her eternal love, Terry. Also survived by her children; Cyndi (Curtis) Tadehara, Wendi (Mick) Olson, Krysti (LeRoy) Kollman, Kurt Johansson, Shawn (Carol) Headrick, 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as siblings; Kathy, Barbara, Karla and Dan. She is loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday Mar 4th at 12:00 Noon at the Tooele 3rd Ward 141 West Utah Ave. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:30-11:30 AM prior to the services.
