Darlene Crystal Stephensen
BRIGHAM CITY – Darlene Crystal Carlsen Stephensen, 76, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.
Darlene was born on March 22, 1936 in Murray, Utah a daughter of Charles LeRoy and Crystal Hannah Reynolds Carlsen.
She married John Thomas Stephensen on July 20, 1957 in Murray, UT; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. John passed away July 11, 1994.
Although she was blind her main concern was meeting the needs of others before herself. She loved her children and grandchildren. Darlene was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed attending the temple until her health failed her.
Surviving are her children: John (Nancy) Stephensen, Washington Terrace; Kenneth (Charlotte) Stephensen, Perry; Jane Cairns, Brigham City; Wayne Stephensen, Perry; Jay (Brenda) Stephensen, Jean Stephensen, Salt Lake City; Bonnie (Cody) Larsen, No. Ogden; and Boyd (Alisha) Stephensen, Denton, TX; 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also her siblings: Charlene, Dannie, Willard, Calvin, Jay, and half brother and sisters, June, Charles and Katherine.
Preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy, daughter Shelley Ann and granddaughter Jill.
Special thanks to Pioneer Care Center and to the Brigham City Hospital for their loving care and compassionate service to Darlene.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the Brigham City 26th Ward Chapel, 865 S. 300 W., Brigham City.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Saturday from 11:00 to 11:40 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
