Summing up Some of Summer

Mikaela #9, Mia Hamm in training, decided to play soccer again this summer!!!! the big shocker of the season. The last time she played soccer she was five. I agreed to coach the team because Beckii said she would help, she would do all the coaching and I would follow her lead and be the 21 years or older body present to make it legal. Then Beckii, it turned out, had to work during all but one practice. During the games Mikaela would run off the field and say I'm tired and wouldn't go back on the field even if there wasn't another player to replace her. She said it was too much running and she would never play again. So we made the agreement that she would finish the 6 game season and she wouldn't have to sign up again if she didn't want to, so she never did, till this year.

She was a sweet runner this year. All of her best friends it turned out were on her team too, great incentive. Here are some of us hangin' out at the game enjoying the fun. All the loudest and best cheering takes place when Beckii and our friend Shani attend games. Even Skyler and Nonya showed up to this one...Does Mikaela know how blessed she is to have such support at a game? The gal in the wheelchair is our sweet friend Tina who lives with us.

The cutie pie on the ground next to Beckii is Nonya's daughter Emisha and that cute pumpkin on my lap is Braxton.
