Unwrap the Magic

That's what they call it...UNWRAP THE MAGIC...the theme for Festival of Trees this year in IF, and I definitely agree it was magical to watch and listen to. The performances were amazing and fun. The money raised from this program goes to support a large business that helps people with disabilities become independent, develop skills they need to work, etc. They offer some of the same services my work does.

Earlier this afternoon the participants and employees from my work sang with the Journeys Choir and of course it was a blast. We had the best Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, these special needs people really make the world go round. Once you have worked with this population you are changed FOREVER! It makes you better; A better Mother, a better Father, a better brother/sister, a better person!

This evening we attended again to watch Michael's ballroom dance groups...and the food was goooood. The singers before Extreme Ballroom Dancers had such beautiful voices. One gal sang a song called "Thankful" that I need to round up. They also performed a song from "Wicked" the musical where Glenda the witch and the Green witch are singing together, AWESOME.

This is Michael's team, Jr. White, performing the "Jaberwockie" the music is awesome it grabs you at the get go and pulls you in. The masks and movements keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what is going to happen. I posted these pics in the order of the dance so you can kind of see how it goes. I had no idea how much fun ballroom could be to watch. Some of these kids decide to take it serious and go on to get full ride scholarships into their college of choice using their dance skills.
